We recommend descaling (cleaning) your Babycook® water reservoir every 6 to 8 uses to maintain peak performance and hygiene.

Important Descaling Precautions:
'- Use white distilled vinegar (unsweetened / zero sugar) or BEABA Descaling Liquid for Babycook® only.
-  Never use chemical descaling agents, coffee machine descalers, or corrosive cleaning solutions in the reservoir.
- Cold Process Only: Never heat the vinegar or BEABA descaling liquid. Descaling is a cold, passive soaking process, do not run a heating cycle during descaling.

 Step-by-Step Descaling Instructions:
-  Ensure the machine is completely unplugged and cooled down.
-  Mix 110 ml (1/2 cup) of water with 110 ml (1/2 cup) of white distilled vinegar (or BEABA Descaling Liquid), and pour the mixture directly into the reservoir.
- Leave the mixture to soak overnight (8–12 hours) with the reservoir lid open.
-  Detach the glass/mixing bowl and all surrounding components from the base.
-  Turn the base unit upside down over a sink to completely drain the cleaning liquid.
- Rinse the inside of the reservoir with plain water at least 3 times, making sure to empty it fully after each rinse.
-  Reinstall the bowl and accessories securely back onto the base unit.
- Water Steam Cycles: Fill the reservoir with pure water and run 3 complete steam cooking cycles using plain water to thoroughly flush out any residual taste or odor.
-  For stubborn mineral scale, repeat the descaling steps until the reservoir is completely clean.
- Wash the bowl and accessories thoroughly with warm soapy water before preparing food.

Proactive Maintenance & Helpful Tips:
'- Depending on the mineral content (hardness) of your tap water, you may need to descale your appliance more frequently.
- Although the system allows you to reset the descaling light without actually descaling, we strongly advise completing the full descaling process. Regular descaling extends your machine’s lifespan and maintains proper food hygiene.
-  Never run a heating steam cycle while descaling liquid or residual scale is still inside the reservoir. Heating will "bake" the buildup onto the reservoir walls, turning it into hardened scale that is far more difficult to remove.
- Once cleaned, descale your Babycook® at the very first sign of new mineral buildup. Frequent light maintenance is much easier than tackling heavy, calcified buildup later.
-  After each use, empty any remaining water from the tank and leave the reservoir lid open for at least 2 hours to air-dry completely before closing it.

The steam cooking process of Babycook is exceptionally fast and efficient. Recommended cooking times generally range from 5 to 20 minutes:

5 Minutes : Suggest for reheating pre-cooked ingredients.

10 Minutes : Suggest for high-water-content ingredients (e.g., green beans, zucchini/courgettes, apples, pears).

15–20 Minutes: Suggest for low water content or firm ingredients (e.g., potatoes, carrots, peas, red meat, chicken).

*Babycook® is designed to protect your food and will never dry boil. The steam cycle operates only while water is present in the reservoir and automatically shuts off once the water is depleted.
 If you notice water remaining in the reservoir after a steam cycle completes, it indicates limescale buildup (mineral deposits from tap water) affecting heating efficiency. Please follow the maintenance instructions to descale your Babycook.

1. Babycook may not be properly plugged in. Check that the appliance is properly plugged into a standard polarized outlet with 220V power. 

2. The bowl lid and the bowl are not correctly attached. Lock the bowl and the bowl lid by turning them counter-clockwise until you hear it click. The appliance is then fully engaged.

3. The heating function button is not turned on.

4. There is no water in the steam heating compartment. Add the correct measure of water to the steam heating compartment (the water goes in the tank NOT the bowl).

5. If Babycook is not heating and you have ruled out the above causes, the heating element or thermostat may not functioning properly. In this case, either the base or the whole product may need to be replaced. Please contact us by emailing contactasia@beaba.com.  It is very important to turn off the appliance when finished steaming. Leaving the product on for long periods of time could cause the thermostat to become overheated, which will in turn diminish the useful life of the product. It is best to always turn Babycook off and unplug it when not in use.

2. There is no locking nut on the knife blade.

Place the blade with the rubber gasket (flared side down) inside the bowl and then underneath, attach the locking nut. Proper placement is for the flat side to sit flush against the metal part of the bowl (with the side of the nut with raised edges and a visible capital "TB" facing down/ the base of the machine). Twist the locking nut and blade in clock-wise motion to ensure a snug fit.

3. The bowl lid and the bowl are not correctly attached.

4. You hear the motor running but the blade does not turn.

Remove the blade assembly completely, lock the bowl and lid(s) into place and test the blend function again. If you see the post (where the blade sits) turning without issue, your blade assembly has become warped. Please contact us to obtain a replacement part.

If the post does NOT turn but you still hear the motor, the rotating belt is not in contact with the pulley inside the machine.

5. The motor is not functioning properly.

If your machine has power and you are able to steam (but not blend)

Babycook parts are not suitable for sterilizing. Instead, we recommend washing by hand using warm, soapy water.

Babycook comes pre assembled and ready to use right out of the box.

To ensure optimal hygiene and food safety for your baby, BEABA strongly recommends completing the following cleaning and sanitizing steps before preparing your first meal:

 Fill the water reservoir with plain water (do not add food) and run  complete steam cooking cycles to thoroughly clean the internal steam channels.

Once the steam cycles are complete, detach the mixing bowl and all accessories, including the steaming basket, bowl lid, mixing lid (splash guard), blade, and silicone gasket, and wash them thoroughly with warm, soapy water, then allow them to air-dry completely.

Once completed, your Babycook is fully prepared, sanitized, and ready to make healthy, delicious meals for your baby!

The bowl, basket, lid and spatula are top-rack dishwasher safe. To ensure the longest life for your accessories, washing by hand with warm, soapy water is recommended (use caution when handling the blade, as it is extremely sharp).



After cleaning the blade, make sure that the gasket and seal are reattached properly.



Never submerge the appliance in water. To clean the Babycook itself, unplug the machine and then using a slightly damp paper towel or wipe, remove any excess food on the machine and then wipe dry using a towel.

1. There is too much scale build-up in the steam heating reservoir. Descale your appliance regularly to prevent lime scale build up in the water tank. Please read the article on descaling.

2. There is not enough water in the steam heating compartment. Add the correct measure of water to the steam heating compartment (the water goes in the tank NOT the bowl).

3. There is too much food in the bowl and there is no room for the steam to circulate and fully cook the food. Reduce the amount of food in the bowl and/or run the steaming cycle again.

Babycook® can not only cook your food, it can defrost it too!

• Pour 2 measures of water into the heating reservoir.
• Place food inside a heat resistant bowl or a Beaba portions or container
• Place the container inside the clear steam basket
• Lock your bowls and lid(s) into place and start your steam cycle
• When the sound signals the end of the cycle (cooking is complete), remove the container with a dry cloth with caution (the container itself and the residual water will be very hot)
• Stir the contents with the included spatula to obtain an even temperature.

Open the machine and take out the steaming basket, then place the diced food (approx. 1 cm × 1 cm) into the basket. Add pure water to the reservoir. Place the steaming basket inside the bowl, seat the bowl onto the base, and rotate it clockwise until you hear a "click" and it cannot turn further, indicating it is completely locked in place. Set and start cooking according to the food type and recommended cooking time (refer to the manual's comparison chart).

When steam cooking begins, a light and sound signal will be emitted.

When steam cooking is complete, the machine will emit a completion tone, and the steam symbol on the screen or button will light up or change, signaling that it is ready to enjoy.

The mixing bowl is made of glass. The inside steam basket is made from stainless steel.

Leakage can be caused by a variety of issues. It is best to check each one to ensure your product is working properly.

1. Check the gasket and ensure that it is properly assembled under the knife blade. The gasket should be mounted with the thin edge of the gasket touching the metal part of the bowl. IF there is no gasket underneath the blade or if the gasket is work out or ripped. You must replace the gasket. Use the additional gasket supplied with your product.

2. The bowl is cracked or broken.

3. There is a significant gap between the silicone nozzle on the outside of the steam reservoir and the bowl lid so some steam comes out, creating water drops along with casing. Replace the bowl if excessive amounts of water are escaping. However, some water droplets are normal.

4. There is no nut on the knife blade. Reattach the nut. Correctly fasten the nut with the flat side in contact with the metal part of the bowl and turn the nut counter-clockwise. If your locking nut is missing,

This warranty applies to all products except for damages that would normally be incurred by fair wear and tear(e.g : Babycook knife, feeding bottle nipple, painted decoration, chair pad, etc.)

When the gasket is properly cleaned (not suitable for the dishwasher) and properly attached, there is no need to change it. However it will wear over time and with use, so check that it is still sealing properly each time you use Babycook®. Should you ever notice your steam cycles running shorter than usual or there is water remaining in the reservoir after the steam cycle completes, it is time to descale your machine.

• Only use white distilled vinegar – no sugar contained or the BEABA Descaling Liquid for Babycook.
• Never use a chemical descaler or a coffee machine descaler in the reservoir.

- After each use, and for tank maintenance, the Babycook tank must be emptied and left to dry for 2 hours before closing the tank lid

Don't worry, nothing is wrong with your Babycook. The red light is just the descaling reminder light. Follow the instructions for descaling; you can find the instructions in your manual or on this site. Once you have descaled with our Beaba descaler or a white vinegar, it is important that you unplug the unit for several minutes. Then, plug it back in. Lock your Blending Bowl(s) in to place (Listen For Click) press down on arrows at the top of your lid to assure your lid is locked, and then PRESS and HOLD the steam button down for 30 seconds to reset the cycle counter. The steam button will turn white again.

Babycook steam cooks foods very quickly and takes between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the amount of water in the heating reservoir. When steaming foods with high water content, such as string beans, zucchini, apples and pears, Babycook runs for approximately 10 minutes with 2 measures of water. Open the lid. Remove basket and fill it with diced food (approx. ½ inch cubes). Determine the amount of water needed depending on the type of food you are steaming (see instruction manual). Measure out the water with the cooking bowl (using the graduations 1-2-3). Pour water into the heating reservoir by placing the lip of the bowl on the upper edge of the reservoir. Place the bowl on the base and lock into place by turning clockwise until you hear a click and the bowl cannot turn any further. Then lock the lid into place by pressing on the rubber arrow on the locking arm until you hear it click into place. Plug in the appliance and press the round steam button. A light and a sound signal when the cooking cycle starts. When cooking is complete, a sound signal is heard and the steam symbol.

The bowl is made of a material called Tritan®. The inside steam basket is made from transparent Polypropylene. All of these components are BPA-free, lead-free ad phthalate-free.

- After each use, and for tank maintenance, the Babycook tank must be emptied and left to dry for 2 hours before closing the tank lid

Don't worry, nothing is wrong with your Babycook. The red light is just the descaling reminder light. Follow the instructions for descaling; you can find the instructions in your manual or on this site. Once you have descaled with our Beaba descaler or a white vinegar, it is important that you unplug the unit for several minutes. Then, plug it back in. Lock your Blending Bowl(s) in to place (Listen For Click) press down on arrows at the top of your lid to assure your lid is locked, and then PRESS and HOLD the steam button down for 30 seconds to reset the cycle counter. The steam button will turn white again.

Babycook steam cooks foods very quickly and takes between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the amount of water in the heating reservoir. When steaming foods with high water content, such as string beans, zucchini, apples and pears, Babycook runs for approximately 10 minutes with 2 measures of water. When steaming foods with low water content, such as potatoes, carrots, peas, red meat and poultry, Babycook Pro takes approximately 15 minutes with 3 measures of water. When reheating foods, cook with 1 measure of water (about 5 minutes).

*Babycook will never dry boil your food. The steam cycle will only continue as long as there is water in the reservoir. If after a steam cycle is completed there is water remaining in your reservoir, it may be time to descale your machine (to remove the limescale build-up in your reservoir, which is caused by minerals found naturally in water).

1. Babycook may not be properly plugged in. Check that the appliance is properly plugged into a standard polarized outlet with 220V power.

2. The bowl lid and the bowl are not correctly attached. Lock the bowl and the bowl lid by turning them counter-clockwise until you hear it click. The appliance is then fully engaged.

3. The heating function button is not turned on.

4. There is no water in the steam heating compartment. Add the correct measure of water to the steam heating compartment (the water goes in the tank NOT the bowl).

5. If Babycook is not heating and you have ruled out the above causes, the heating element or thermostat may not functioning properly. In this case, either the base or the whole product may need to be replaced. Please contact us by emailing contactasia@beaba.com. It is very important to turn off the appliance when finished steaming. Leaving the product on for long periods of time could cause the thermostat to become overheated, which will in turn diminish the useful life of the product. It is best to always turn Babycook off and unplug it when not in use.

1. Babycook may not be properly plugged in.

Check that the appliance is properly plugged into a standard polarized outlet with 220V power. The polarized plug is intended to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug is designed to fit only one way. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

2. There is no locking nut on the knife blade.

Place the blade with the rubber gasket (flared side down) inside the bowl and then underneath, attach the locking nut. Proper placement is for the flat side to sit flush against the metal part of the bowl (with the side of the nut with raised edges and a visible capital "TB" facing down/ the base of the machine). Twist the locking nut and blade in clock-wise motion to ensure a snug fit.

3. The bowl lid and the bowl are not correctly attached.

4. You hear the motor running but the blade does not turn.

Remove the blade assembly completely, lock the bowl and lid(s) into place and test the blend function again. If you see the post (where the blade sits) turning without issue, your blade assembly has become warped. Please contact us to obtain a replacement part.

If the post does NOT turn but you still hear the motor, the rotating belt is not in contact with the pulley inside the machine.

5. The motor is not functioning properly.

If your machine has power and you are able to steam (but not blend)

Babycook parts are not suitable for sterilizing. Instead, we recommend washing by hand using warm, soapy water.

Babycook comes assembled and ready to use. However, before use BÉABA recommends the following:

Before using for the first time, for reasons of hygiene, complete 3 cooking cycles of water only using 3 measures of water each time, Then clean the bowl and accessories (spatula, bowl lid, basket, blades, gasket and mixing lid) with warm soapy water. Babycook is now ready to use!

The bowl, basket, lid and spatula are top-rack dishwasher safe. To ensure the longest life for your accessories, washing by hand with warm, soapy water is recommended (use caution when handling the blade, as it is extremely sharp).



After cleaning the blade, make sure that the gasket and seal are reattached properly.



Never submerge the appliance in water. To clean the Babycook itself, unplug the machine and then using a slightly damp paper towel or wipe, remove any excess food on the machine and then wipe dry using a towel.

1. There is too much scale build-up in the steam heating reservoir. Descale your appliance regularly to prevent lime scale build up in the water tank. Please read the article on descaling.

2. There is not enough water in the steam heating compartment. Add the correct measure of water to the steam heating compartment (the water goes in the tank NOT the bowl).

3. There is too much food in the bowl and there is no room for the steam to circulate and fully cook the food. Reduce the amount of food in the bowl and/or run the steaming cycle again.

• Pour 2 measures of water into the heating reservoir.
• Place food inside a heat resistant bowl or a Beaba portions or container
• Place the container inside the clear steam basket
• Lock your bowls and lid(s) into place and start your steam cycle
• When the sound signals the end of the cycle (cooking is complete), remove the container with a dry cloth with caution (the container itself and the residual water will be very hot)
• Stir the contents with the included spatula to obtain an even temperature.

Open the lid. Remove basket and fill it with diced food (approx. ½ inch cubes). Determine the amount of water needed depending on the type of food you are steaming (see instruction manual). Measure out the water with the cooking bowl (using the graduations 1-2-3). Pour water into the heating reservoir by placing the lip of the bowl on the upper edge of the reservoir. Place the bowl on the base and lock into place by turning clockwise until you hear a click and the bowl cannot turn any further. Then lock the lid into place by pressing on the rubber arrow on the locking arm until you hear it click into place. Plug in the appliance and press the round steam button. A light and a sound signal when the cooking cycle starts. When cooking is complete, a sound signal is heard and the steam symbol.

The bowl is made of a material called Tritan®. The inside steam basket is made from transparent Polypropylene. All of these components are BPA-free, lead-free ad phthalate-free.

Leakage can be caused by a variety of issues. It is best to check each one to ensure your product is working properly.

1. Check the gasket and ensure that it is properly assembled under the knife blade. The gasket should be mounted with the thin edge of the gasket touching the metal part of the bowl. IF there is no gasket underneath the blade or if the gasket is work out or ripped. You must replace the gasket. Use the additional gasket supplied with your product.

2. The bowl is cracked or broken.

3. There is a significant gap between the silicone nozzle on the outside of the steam reservoir and the bowl lid so some steam comes out, creating water drops along with casing. Replace the bowl if excessive amounts of water are escaping. However, some water droplets are normal.

4. There is no nut on the knife blade. Reattach the nut. Correctly fasten the nut with the flat side in contact with the metal part of the bowl and turn the nut counter-clockwise. If your locking nut is missing,

The heating time that we recommended is just for
reference. The heating time needed is impacted by
varying elements like bottle material, volume of milk/
water/food, the room temperature, etc.

If you choose to heat breast milk in a bag in BabyMilk, we suggest that you verify with the bag's manufacturer that it is safe to be heated. 

When using the BabyMilk to sterilize, we recommend turning the knob to '5', which is the longest setting. 

Depending on the portion of food you are trying to defrost, we recommend turning the knob to '5'. 

The BabyMilk is compatible with almost all bottles. Note that the nipple of the bottle should always be removed when using, so that the milk is heated up as evenly as possible. We always recommend waiting a moment or two and mixing the milk before giving it to your baby.

Interferences disturb the signal or the receiver is too far from the camera. Move the camera and receivers away from devices operating in WiFi that may interfere with the signal / use the application to access the camera from the smartphone. 

Check that the receiver is connected to the camera. If this is not the case, start by pairing the camera and the receiver.

The pairing button is the button on the front part of the camera. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds, then follow the instructions on the screen. (To access the screen's pairing screen, press the Menu button on the display screen and select Manage cameras.)
