Making homemade baby food doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming! With the BEABA Babycook® Baby Food Maker, you can steam, blend, and prepare fresh purees in under 20 minutes—all using just one bowl and easy one-handed operation.
3 Simple Steps to Homemade Baby Food
1. Prep & Steam
Place your diced ingredients into the steaming basket. Fill the water reservoir according to the water level indicators on the bowl (each level equals 5 minutes of cooking time):
-
Level 1 (15 mins): High-water-content fruits (like apples and pears).
-
Level 2 (20 mins): Root vegetables (like carrots and pumpkin).
-
Level 3 (25 mins): Poultry, meat, fish, and denser root veggies.
Pour the water into the reservoir and press the steam button. The machine turns off automatically when done, leaving you free to spend time with your baby.
2. Transfer & Blend
When steaming is complete, you’ll hear a slow beep and see a flashing light. Use a spoon or spatula to transfer the cooked ingredients into the blending bowl.
-
First Purees (Smooth): Pulse the blending button until you reach a silky texture. Add a little reserved cooking liquid or water if you prefer a thinner consistency.
-
Bigger Babies (Chunky): Pulse fewer times to easily tailor the texture to your baby’s feeding stage.
3. Store & Reheat
Serve immediately or store for later:
-
Fridge: Store in glass airtight containers for up to 3 to 4 days for peak freshness.
-
Freezer (Batch Cooking): Portion purees into Multiportions silicone freezer trays and freeze.
-
Easy Defrosting: When ready to eat, pop a frozen puree pod back into the Babycook® steaming basket, add water to Level 2, and press steam to defrost quickly and safely.
That’s all it takes to make fresh, nutrient-dense meals for your little one with minimal cleanup!
